This unit is licensed for 44 beds and is staffed by 95 healthcare professionals. We strive for excellence in patient care and have achieved multiple national recognitions. The unit is equipped with IV pumps, PCA pumps, chest tubes, tracheostomies, and patient lifts. Patient ratios are typically 4:1 with a maximum stretch ratio of 5:1. Key responsibilities include neuro and spinal checks, C-collar placement, and feeding tube placements. Blood transfusions and IV infusions are also part of the required skills. Ideal candidates will be team players with a strong patient focus. Experience in neuro and trauma care is preferred. Candidates will float to stepdown and med-surg units as needed. Every other weekend commitment is expected.
