Job Title: RN - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of current hospital acute care experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS & ACLS (preferred) Must-Have: Minimum of 1 year of current hospital acute care experience Candidates must have circulating and scrubbing experience Experience with Meditech EMR Description: This position is for a Travel RN in the Operating Room. The unit is a main operating room with various specialized ORs. The hospital has 408 beds and a team of approximately 60 FTE staff members. There are typically 14-16 RNs and CSTs on day shifts. Patient ratios are 1:1. Standard OR equipment and Stryker video systems are used. The common procedures performed include angioplasty, appendectomy, biopsy, and orthopedic/spine surgeries. Transplant procedures are not conducted on this unit. Candidates are expected to prioritize patient experience and communicate effectively with staff and providers. Adaptability to change is essential. On-call responsibilities include one day a week from 5 PM to 7 PM and weekends once every six weeks if the on-call doctor is scheduled.
