Contract | Days | Onsite | 3x10-hour shifts | Rotating 30 and 40 hour weeks | 0630–1730 | Call required

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide high-quality patient care utilizing the nursing process and unit-specific standards of practice
• Develop, implement, and continually reassess individualized patient plans of care, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
• Administer medications and complete nursing procedures and treatments while accurately documenting care, assessments, interventions, and patient responses
• Perform holistic ongoing patient assessments and communicate and collaborate with all members of the healthcare team
• Educate patients, families, and significant others on appropriate health information in a timely manner
• Delegate appropriately to non-licensed assistive personnel and may float in rotation, including as a sitter

Required Qualifications

• Active Washington State or Compact RN licensure required
• CVOR experience required; general OR experience and cardiac experience required
• Active BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must practice consistently within the guidelines of the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific standards of practice
• Must be available to take call as required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with evidence-based procedures and current clinical workflows in a cardiovascular surgical setting
• Experience participating in performance improvement processes within a surgical or acute care environment
