About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse – Pediatric Float Pool (PICU/NICU)

Charlottesville, VA

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:00) | 36 or 48 Hours Per Week | 13-Week Assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Float to various pediatric units including PICU, NICU, Pediatric Med/Surg, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric ED Boarders, and Postpartum/Mother Baby
• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to pediatric and neonatal patient populations across assigned units
• Adhere to facility float pool policies and practice within scope of licensure at all times
• Rotate every other weekend and every other holiday as required
• Accurately document patient care activities using Epic electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of PICU experience required
• NICU experience required; must be comfortable across pediatric care settings
• Active RN license in Virginia (pending license accepted; must be in hand prior to start date)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic electronic health record experience required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous NICU/PICU float pool experience strongly preferred
• Pediatric PACU experience highly preferred
• BSN preferred
