Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• Care for patients with general medical, cardiac, pneumonia, UTI, chest pain, and fluid overload diagnoses
• Maintain RN to patient ratios of 1:4 and support CNA tasks including vital signs and ADLs
• Read and interpret telemetry strips
• Administer medications using Alaris IV pumps and manage surgical drains and telemetry equipment
• Participate in unit-based care and maintain communication with charge nurses and hospital support

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• Active RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1-year experience in a similar role
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Skills in PCA, surgical drains, wound care, and telemetry cardiac rhythm interpretation
