The RN assesses patients' physical, emotional, and educational needs. The RN develops and coordinates individualized care plans. The RN administers treatments and medications. The RN monitors patient progress and collaborates closely with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families. This role requires strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and leadership skills to ensure quality outcomes, patient safety, effective discharge planning, and continuity of care. The RN serves as an advocate, educator, and leader within the healthcare team. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation and promoting evidence-based practice. The RN supports quality improvement initiatives and mentors staff and students. The RN participates in professional development activities and upholds standards of professionalism, communication, teamwork, and customer service. The position involves coordinating care delivery and contributing to performance improvement efforts. The RN ensures compliance with regulatory requirements while maintaining competency through ongoing education and certification. The RN provides specialized nursing care to oncology patients undergoing cancer treatment, including radiation therapy. Responsibilities include assessing and managing treatment-related side effects. The RN educates patients and families on treatment plans and symptom management. The RN monitors patient responses to therapy and collaborates with radiation oncologists and interdisciplinary teams.
