About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 7P-7A Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NCC (preferred), NRP (preferred) Must-Have: Charge experience, EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating Bipap, suture removal, assisting with casting, vent management Description: Urgent start needed. Interviews will be conducted promptly. Emergency Department has 11 beds, including trauma and negative pressure rooms. Patient types range from neonates to geriatrics. General ED patient care includes trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health. Patient ratios are RN 1:4, variable based on patient acuity. Support on the unit includes a mid-level provider and critical care transport team assistance. Traditional nursing staffing consists of various shifts to ensure adequate coverage. Security is available on site 24/7, though staff respond to escalations as needed. Charting is conducted using an electronic system. No floating to other units is required. Weekend rotations will be every other weekend with holiday coverage as needed. Approval of time off is required from management. Staff can wear professional scrubs of any color, with hospital scrubs available if desired. The community surrounding the facility is known for its welcoming culture.
