Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience License: Active Registered Nurse License Certifications: - ACLS - PALS - BLS - CPI Must-Have: - Emergency Department experience for 1 year or more - Charge Nurse experience for alternate Charge Role Description: Join our Emergency Department team. This unit has 19 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. The staffing includes mostly RNs, 1 unit secretary, 1 patient care technician, 1 paramedic, 1 security guard, and 1 armed officer. Utilize advanced equipment such as GE Cardiac Monitoring, MobiLab, and I-mobile. Documentation is completed through the Meditech system. Scheduling varies based on contract requests. Floating among units is encouraged but not required. We expect candidates to meet patient experience requirements including AIDET validations and nurse leader care rounding. The unit is a Level III NICU, equipped for basic pediatric care, and has primary stroke and chest pain accreditations. Standard Emergency Department procedures are performed, providing support to physicians during complex procedures such as lumbar punctures, intubation, and central line placement. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. We are currently undergoing renovations and are tech-forward with Mobila, I-mobile, and Care Team Assignments.
