About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10-hour Days, Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Knowledge of Endoscopy procedures and equipment Experience with intra-operative circulation as a nurse Description: The position involves providing nursing care in the endoscopy department. You will be responsible for intra-op circulation without sedation. Common procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, EUS, EMR, and hemorrhoid banding. A typical ratio is 1 RN per room. Surgical techs are available in the department to assist. There is a number system in place to ensure cases are completed efficiently. Weekend on-call duties require working one weekend per month, with potential additional calls based on the nursing rotation. Call response time is typically 30 minutes. Knowledge of the electronic health record system is a plus. There is specific orientation for the unit/department. This role does not include charge nurse or house supervisor responsibilities. Flexible scheduling options are not available. Employees are required to wear scrubs while on duty. There are no floating requirements for this position.
