About the Position

Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: Required Certifications: ALS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - ALS - BLS - TNCC - ENPC or PALS - 1 year ED experience Description: This is a contract RN position in the Emergency Department. The position requires no on-call shifts. Staffing levels fluctuate based on patient volume. The unit has 23 beds with a nursing staff comprising a mix of newly graduated nurses and experienced professionals. Patient ratios in the unit are typically 4:1. Types of equipment used include Welch Allyn and GE EMR Meditech. Typical procedures performed in the unit include cardioversion, TNK, and moderate sedation. A collaborative culture with providers enhances the work environment. Self-scheduling is a significant benefit for nursing staff. The department has received various awards for excellence, including recognition for being a certified primary stroke center and a level IV trauma center.
