About the Position

Job Title: RN CVICU-Peds Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: CVICU-Peds Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU License: RN License Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS Must-Have: 2 years of Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU experience required. Nurse to Patient Ratio by shift: 1:1, 1:2 for ICU status, 1:3 for stepdown/non-ICU. Minimum years in specialty: 2. Description: This is a high acuity, fast-paced standalone unit. The unit specializes in congenital heart disease and defects. Experience with surgical congenital heart disease is required. Candidates should have knowledge of heart failure and arrhythmias. Familiarity with transplant patients and VAD/Berlin is necessary. The age range of patients includes neonatal through young adult. Occasional adult congenital heart disease patients are also seen. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIH certification.
