About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: 2 years minimum in Labor and Delivery License: Valid State License required Certifications: Current certifications in relevant areas Must-Have: Experience in acute care high-risk labor and delivery. Ability to manage antepartum patients, pre-eclampsia, diabetes, multiples, and VBAC/TOLAC. Experience in active management of laboring patients, induction/augmentation, and handling maternal emergencies. Description: This position involves nursing care in the Labor and Delivery specialty. The registered nurse will be responsible for delivering care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will float between various units as required. Weekend shifts will be necessary, and some weekend shifts will be required. Expected patient ratios are Labor 1:2, Antepartum 1:3. The nurse will provide care to patients of varying acuity levels. This role includes the monitoring and assessment of patients during labor. The registered nurse must collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. The ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism is essential. The nursing role demands effective communication and decision-making skills. Candidates should possess experience working with a diverse patient population. References covering the last year of employment are required. Flexibility with scheduling is a must. Travel between nearby facilities may occur as needed.
