Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent and comprehensive nursing care.
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; note all changes in physician orders.
• Obtain, monitor, and evaluate physiological data; observe patient manifestations and intervene as necessary.
• Administer medications as prescribed; initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.
• Interact with patients and families to communicate the care plan, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions; delegate tasks to support staff as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of registered nursing experience.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program.
• Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services with proficiency in basic computer applications.
