Travel Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM with On-Call Requirements | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-volume main operating room environment handling all surgical cases except open heart, transplants, and eye procedures
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio throughout surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and quality care standards
• Operate and assist with advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems and orthopedic navigation platforms
• Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic documentation system
• Fulfill call shift obligations (approximately 4–5 call shifts per 4-week period) and participate in weekend rotation
• Float to assist in other areas of the facility as needed when the ORs are not in operation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of OR nursing experience
• Demonstrated orthopedic experience, including major joint procedures
• Experience in general, urology (open and cystoscopy), and minor vascular surgical cases
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Ability to adhere to all AORN guidelines and maintain punctuality, teamwork, and a positive attitude

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with major vascular surgical cases
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgical systems and orthopedic navigation technology
• Additional perioperative certifications (e.g., CNOR)
