About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years as RN, 1 year in specialty License: Required Certifications: BLS Required, ACLS Preferred Must-Have: - Epic EMR proficiency required and recent experience. - Trauma Level I/II hospital experience required. - Nurse patient ratios: Days 1:5-6, Nights 1:6. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Medical Surgical environment. The unit has 90 double occupancy beds. Common diagnoses include pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, and acute kidney injury. Occasional surgeries include laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendectomy. The RN may have PCA support with 8-12 patients per person. Equipment used includes Bipap and stable tracheostomy devices. There is a dedicated monitor tech for telemetry on the unit. Nurses are not required to read telemetry. The charge nurse may support the team but can take assignments as needed. The schedule includes every other weekend and typically two or three holidays per year. Low census on-call may be required. Floating may occur to MedSurg and stable low acuity in ICU. Scrub color is navy blue. Cancellation policy allows for the client to cancel hours equivalent to the weekly guaranteed hours for the assignment.
