Busy and difficult office to work in.

Very difficult office to work at. Hours were horrible towards the end. Working nights and weekends. Not very sympathetic to me when I was 9 months pregnant. It was very difficult to work being that pregnant. Then 3 weeks into my maternity leave, I was asked if I planned on returning to the job. Manager at the time called my home to inquire on this and while on the phone my son was screaming his head off(he had colic very badly). He wouldn't let me just call him back he needed an answer right away. I made a rash decision and left the job. It was the best decision I ever made.

Child Adolescent Psychiatric Unit

Medical and emotional management of patients from the age of 3 to 17. Major depression, PTSD, Multiple personality disorder and psychosies were typical diagnosis of the patient population. Led group therapy, assisted with school work, participated in their therapies/activites. A lot of 1 to 1 intervention so patient can gain trust and feel they are in a safe environment to share. It was difficult to manage the violence from some of the PTSD kids but there was a lot of support and resources.
