my favorite place to work for

This hospital was the best place I have ever worked. The typical day was 12 hours long. I worked in the geriatric psych unit. My day consisted of providing care to elderly patients with mental issues. My co-workers were the best. Management was wonderful and they pushed you to further your education. The hardest part of the job was when accidents happened which were harmful to myself or other co-workers. The most enjoyable part was knowing what I did in some small way helped these individuals know someone cared.

Not that bad of a place to work

I went to work in the evening and worked until morning. I would sometimes be placed on call, but overall my hours were there plus more if needed.

A good place to work. Lots of room to grow and expand skills.

White River was a very good place to work. The environment was conducive to learning. The Coordinator for the unit was knowledgable and willing to help as needed. The staff was well trained and needed minimal supervision, except for some of the aides. The pay could have been better, but money is not the most significant factor for me; just knowing I was instrumental in helping someone to have a better life is far more important. A good day at work for me was leaving the facility knowing I had touched someone in a rewarding way.The hardest part of the job for me was when I had to leave. I do wish I could have done things diffrently.
