November 04, 2018 RNHorrible experience with a department of this hospital. Staff seemed friendly in other areas, very warm and welcoming. This particular department had a reputation for being a "rough bunch to work with" and lived up to this statement. I was accosted, intimidated and humilated daily by a charge RN, the supervisor would support the charge nurse. The Charge nurse referred to the blood bank as "the dumb one and the smart one" in front of patients. Never experienced such an unproffessional group of vindictive women who would literally mob their target. Gossip out loud about other nurses in front of patients. Charge nurse would announce to staff that "no one better give her any grief, due to lack of sleep or migraine and the ol wine and 100mg Benadryl did not work"...unbelievable. Was told I could only sit at one spot to chart, this was often a display for other staff. Extreme workplace violence. Was asked to fill out survery, Hospital CEO, Mr. Stewart then handed it over to the manager who held it out in front, so I would know that I was lied to and the survey was not kept confidential. First time experience for extreme hostility that really went to far, I wouldn't never reccommend this place to any nurse unless you are looking for trauma/emergency. |
