Overall good place to work

Hendrick is very nurse friendly. They value their employees and work hard to make the hospital a good working environment.

just not for me

i thought that i wanted to work in the hospital when i graduated from high school, i am going on two year at the hospital and im not interested in it as much as i was, people their are great i just wish that if you missed something or forgot something someone would nicely pull you to the side and say hey you didnt do this but thats not what happens.

Fast paced workplace with variety of patients.

I worked on a fast paced/high turnover unit. Typical day would include several discharges and admissions per nurse. The teamwork amongst coworkers was the best I have ever experienced.

Nice hospital

Hendrick is a great workplace that has given me a broad nursing experience. The hardest part of the job is that we are very short nurses therefore it is an expectation to work as much as possible which I have done for the past 12 years for them but would like to spend more time with my children and return to school in the fall.

the patient care was great

I would recommend anyone who has a love for nuturing and caring environment to work there. They worked around your schedule and allowed you to advance within the environment. They encouraged each other and helped patients recover quickly. The nursing staff had good bedside manner and were advocates for their patients.
