Great place to work and provide service to those who need it most

I have always enjoyed working at Oaklawn. Each supervisor I have had has been great and flexible when needed. The patients are the top priority here. Learning to deal with many different types of patients is a must. Sometimes it can be scary but often its pleastant because they appreciate what we do. The staff are team oriented and great to work with. The hardest part of the job is just when you run out of avenues to assist patients where they need it, due to diagnosis, patient non-compliance with programs or treatment plans. If you enjoy helping others and providing service to others this is the place to be.

Excellent service to the community. Great place to learn. Not a good place to grow or change.

No changes or improvements were ever made during my tenure at Oaklawn. Although Oaklawn has many stregnths as an employer, the necessity to make improvements and upgrades eventually effects the safety and reliability of the quailty of product or service you provide.

Challenging and rewarding

Great co-workers who work well together to be productive and efficient. Enjoyed the challenge of dealing with a variety of different mental disabilities and working with those overcoming addiction and/or detoxification.
