June 25, 2014 Very focused on the clientsThe Hospital is very focused on providing quality of care for each client and they urge employees to focus on that alot. It's a small-ish business and not a lot of room for advancement without continuing your education in medical/clinical fields. The management staff is different for each department so it's difficult to give an overall feeling. Some departments micromanage the employees, some only get involved if there are issues or changes. There is a high turn-over rate for the MHTs so that makes it harder on staff who have been at the hospital for a while. New employees are constantly coming through to train. The clients we work will have real problems and need alot of patience from the staff. The hospital is an education-based program, which means we get students from nursing schools, pschology programs, and psychiatry programs constantly coming to the hospital to observe and learn. On one hand, it's annoying because they are always in the way and slow down the treatment process. On the other hand, it keeps the program young (in spirit) and we get alot of really good clinical/medical staff joining us after training. |
