September 07, 2008 Problems abound - but future could be promising. It is close to home and with the price of gas and traffic to travel to larger city this means alot. There is a completely new top administrative team either already in place or beginning to form (currently searching for CNO). Perhaps things will get better in the future. There is a good group of "worker bees" at Meadowview. We currently have an interim CNO who has started to send out "thank you" notes as compliments are received from patients. Wages are a problem. Currently there is no real pay for performance system. Almost everyone gets a 3% raise and it literally takes an "act of God" to get more than 3%. There is no career ladder system and thus no chance for advancement in salary on that system. Fairness is an issue. For example, in implementing the tardiness/absenteeism policy. Some individuals come in late several times a pay period and nothing is said. Some individuals take time off frequently but because they do not use sick time, nothing is said to them (this does not include FMLA). |
