Catholic Medical Center Kitchen

The job flow of a Culinary Assistant is very accessible dailey routine. My co- workers are all very fun and generous people to be around, however i feel under looked by management in efforts to allow my benefits. In my three years of service to Catholic Medical Center Kitchen staff my applications to advance to full time and receive benefits for Earn time, and medical assistance have been denied.

Ok place to work

Great co workers, strong team players. Over all culture has diminished over the past few years. Upper management VERY poor, ineffective, out of touch and unrealistic with expectations of staff. Compensation is fair

Get worked to death in a horrible environment with great co workers

The good is some very great and hard working co workers who are at the top of their field. The bad is human resources, most all of upper management, and the WORST department directors you could dream of.They pay pretty well, but you will earn it every minute of every shift! Sad how people come here for training and experience and leave, or jump to different floors and departments. or simply leave because of the bologna. No union at this hospital, in fact human resources will give MADITORY classes on why unions are bad ( seriously! )Watch your department director carry on extramarital affairs with your co workers for increased job satisfaction.Cmc became so good after optima split but quickly sank into what it is now, so sad.Do yourself a favor and apply somewhere else. Or watch the super s l o w HR department in the hiring process.

Hostile work environment.

Employees bullied people and management did nothing to fix problem. Forced to work through lunch and breaks 4 days in a row. Management ineffective.

Rigid and low paying

Compensation and benefits are poor at best. Culture and values are questionable. Job security and advancement are non-existent. Management is very very poor. Little leadership and dictatorial.
