Sometimes stressful and overwhelming, but had very friendly co-workers

Most days were a good learning experience for me as a new grad. I value the experience that I gained there and wished I could have stayed longer.

Poor Teamwork. Poor Managemnt.

Worked on MedSurg Floor and Outpt SurgCo workers were not very friendly and did not work together as a team.

Roller Coaster

SDS is a small but busy department servicing anywhere from 5 to 25 patients daily. Staffing consisted of 1 FT nurse, 1 PT nurse and a cna. I was fortunate to be surrounded with good dependable co-workers. Though we were under the same manager, we operated in different departments. However, if it was extremely busy, I could call on them and they would readily assist me. My manager and I never saw eye to eye thus it was difficult to communicate with her unless it was general conversation and nothing going against the grain. I looked forwatd to meeting new patients daily and learning something new.
