Benedictine Hospital

Great atmosphere throughout the hospital. Everyone is nice to work with.Typical day is ensuring the day to day operations of the powerhouse and emergency generators.Co-works are great to work with and eager to assist.

I retired after 30+ years as an RN

I did not like working for Benedictine. It was not a cohesive team centered place. It was hard work with long hours and difficult off time schedules ie working nights and weekends The typical day started out with receiving report from the last shift,assignment of duties and patient assignments, then you went out & talked with patients who were not interested in getting better but rather just to get out of the hospital. Management did not look out for safety of staff and usually picked favorites for the best shifts etc. The hardest part of the job for me was that although I worked hard & cared for my patients to the best of my ability,management never recognized my hard work & reliability. The most enjoyable part of the hjob was leaving it.

Nice place to work

Helped assist all nursing staff with duties, cleaning patients, catheterization, feeding, removing IV lines, trac care..etc
