Great place to work

This is a great place to work. It is a learning hospital so you will be educated throughout your time here. The staff does pretty well with team work generally but in an emergency they are amazing, like a well-oiled machine. Working in the ICU is very hard physical labor. Lifting patients, walking constantly, bathing, transporting. Very rewarding but difficult. If you enjoy a challenge and making a difference in the lives of others then this is the career for you!

Great place to work with excellent benefits. Patient volume is very high.

A typical day was checking doctors schedule, and making sure all employees had made it to work. Next would to be check the supply closet and make sure things were in stock, and ready to go for the day. After I was finished with inventory , I would pull all phone messages off and answer them in the order they were received. During the last part of the day I would check the physicians schedule/request they have placed for time off and block the schedule. Then I would work on the unit clerks schedule/ request they had submitted for time off also. (build a schedule every three month for the physicians)Make sure that all encounters were placed on my desk at the end of the day for accounting/billing. Therefore, at the end of each month I would review and make sure that insurance information was placed, or if they were self -pay the information we needed to file a financial income based for the patient. If employee were ill I would fill in the position myself and complete the duties that I had to at that time. Most important part of my job was to help with customer complaints and resolve any issue that has occurred during that patient visit.
