Very friendly environment for interns. Nice team of counselors who work and collaborate with each other.

Psychiatric hospital, for profit

Former RN 2009-2014..some positives great coworkers, good pay, easy to get overtime, good doctors. Some not so positives..short staffing to the point of being dangerous, no security guards, some managers micromanage staff, not enough individualized group therapy..some days patients just sit in front of the tv.

Psychiatric Hospital

There were alot of acutely psychotic patients at this hospital. The staff were very professional and were very careful with privacy due to the incredible stigma attached to mental illness. I enjoyed working here. The hardest part of the job was the fear of being attacked by a psychotic patient, the most enjoyable was learning techniques to help the patients and protect ourselves.
