Pay was sufficient,worked short staffed.

It is a fairly stressful dept. that I work in.Step-down Unit.Over all a good job with too much favoritism shown to certain Drs and Rns.

Community hospital

Nice place to work with big hearted nurses. My only complaints about RMH is that they are a bit behind the times with paper charting and less then the safest medication administration ways. i.e. no PIXAS, no bar scanning system. They have been under staffed since I began there in Feb of 2014 and it has only gotten worse. With the new CEO I think great changes are on the way in the future. It's a good place to work with great pay and opportunity for overtime it's just currently very stressful. Benefits package isn't very good either.

Friendly and enjoyable workplace

A typical day included charting on patients, taking blood pressures before and after exercise, education for patients, watching monitors of heart rhythms, talking to patients, hooking patients up to telemetry monitors, demonstrating how to properly use equipment, and paperwork. I learned how to use the computer system for cardiac rehab, how to chart on the patients, and the proper questions to ask patients. My co-workers were amazing and went out of their way to help patients even when they didn't have to. The hardest part of the job was saying goodbye to patients that completed the program. The most enjoyable part of the job was getting to know the patients and their families, and helping them live a healthier life.

Small hospital with no advancement opportunites

While I enjoyed the job, this hospital gave no room for improvement. The work schedule became very infexible and I had no life balance with this job.
