Loved this hospital

I loved working at this hospital!!! Very clean, the co-workers were great. The CNA's were awesome. My manager was always willing to work with me on my schedule. It had a Norman Rockwell atmosphere, something you do not see today. Loved,it! My only reason for leaving was that my husband had retired, I lived 2 hours away, and I wanted to spend more time with him. Great place, great manager, great people!

Was a great small community hospital.

A typical day was a great nurse/patient ratio. Due to economical restraints, that is no longer true. We have an excellent hospitalist who takes the time to show and teach procedures, diagnoses, medications and their reactions, and goals and outcomes of any regimens. For the most part, I have great co-workers that assist with everything they can. I think management could be better. The hardest part is short staffing. Especially since we have gone to computer charting. Tends to make the days very long and stressful. The best part is discharging someone home that is well knowing you had a small part in making that happen.
