Good internship experience.

I completed my practicum therapy experience at Advocate Illinois Masonic. As an extern, I was not paid, but I did receive very valuable supervision on individual therapy cases. I had an average of 10 individual patients per week, 1 intake, and two group therapy sessions. I was able to provide therapy in both English and Spanish. The most enjoyable part of the experience was being able to improve my therapeutic skills. Through supervision, I was better able to determine how to best work with clients.

Collaborative and supportive work place

In this position I had all of the support and flexibility that I needed to get my work done. I worked with an incredible support team that were always open to ideas and valued my work. The most gratifying part of this job was the speed with which we were able to demonstrate the importance of our work and use our findings in practice.
