August 16, 2014 ReviewGreat group of co-workers. Pay is not great. Disciplines work together as a group; however, lack of acknowledgement and advancement. Small hospital and lots of turn over. |

February 21, 2014 Fast Paced, Productive UnitA typical day of work as a CNA at Methodist Hospital of Chicago, on the Medical-Surgical Floor, involved supporting each patient's personal hygiene and daily living needs and providing them with comfort needs, helping with transportation, and vital sign monitoring. For several weeks at a time, I would orient and train newly hired CNAs.As the Unit Secretary (US) on the Medical-Surgical Unit, I was responsible for processing charts, entering doctors written orders, arranging admissions, transfers, and discharges, paging physicians, and general desk coverage. Supervised newly hired Unit Secretaries in orientation and training. |
