Disgusting atmosphere of misogynistic culture. Nurses in room didn't even know how to order an insulin drip. Sixty minutes later the MD calls pharmacy himself. They dispose of sharps in general trash!! Recently had a surgical item left in patient and the same RN who couldn't order insulin let patient out of the room with out an Xray or even calling admin!! Zero AORN best practices are followed. Two patient identifiers are rarely used once patient crosses the OR door and Iv'e witnessed no patient identifiers being used before speaking with patient about their surgery. Highly dangerous place for a patient.
