A good place to work at but I want to get back into an office environment.

A typical day at work is when a patient is discharge, the room comes across my pager and I then go to the room and strip the bed of the dirty linen. I get all trash, high dust, clean the bed and furniture, make the bed, dust mop and then damp mop the floor, I get along with mamangement and my co-workers. The hardest part of the job is that I can do 20-30n rooms on any given night. The most enjoyable part of the job are the people I work with,

Great Hospital Work Experience

Working on a Med Surg/Oncology Unit I typically encountered a lot of infection, diabetes, and pain management issues. I became more familiar with PCA Pumps, blood glucose levels, administration of insulin, wound care, and contact precautions. The manager was approachable and teamwork was a big part of the dynamic between techs and nurses. It made working on the unit one of the most positive work experiences I've had to date. Even though we took care of more acute conditions on the unit, we did admit some terminally ill cancer patients. It was always hard to learn that this hospital admission would be this patient's last.

very clean environment, safety of the patients were a priority

friendly staff and very understanding to family values. Everyone worked as a team especially the nursing department.

Small rural hospital

Small hospital with in house advancement available. Good management. Friendly staff. Educational training offered in various nursing areas. Competitive pay and benefits.
