Family Environment

I worked for this company for 8 years before the department closed. It was a very close, family-like environment. Management was very helpful when the department became very busy.

Energetic and fun work place surrounded with positive attitudes and a desire to keep staff educated and up to date with current practice guidelines..

I work 7pm-7am on the weekends in the Emergency Department. A typical day consists of assessing and managing critical and noncritical patients from birth to elderly. My knowledge is tested on a daily basis which helps me grow and learn. I am responsible for 3-4 patients at a time and have the ability to multitask. The work environment is positive and energetic with great co-workers. The hardest part of the job can be the stress level during intense situations or high volumes. However, the positive environment with great teamwork from co-workers allows for these high stress situations to run as smoothly as possible. The most enjoyable part of the job is definitely the positive and energetic atmosphere. The co-workers are fun and enjoyable to work with. Everyone also encourages one another to learn and become better.

Challenging job

I assessed patients, performed wound care, IV cares, med administration, telemetry assessment. I learned a lot about post surgical cares and medical issues. We were very busy but tried to support and help each other. The hardest part of this job was the high patient load and demands. The most enjoyable part was caring for patients
