A typical day in the Emergency Department

My typical day in the Emergency Room is I go in an stock the department from patient rooms to the station. I would answer the phone any time it would ring. I forward phone calls to whom it may need to go to. I also do patient care needs for patient. I do the ordering of the department and if any of the physicians would need any errands ran I would do those too. My day is most always different with different things that do come into the department. I think the hardest part of my job is keeping patients happy along with the staff. I the best part of my job is that I love assisting in the needs of others.

small hometown feel

Emergency room. 12 hour shifts! Friendly and helpful physicians. Hard, and at times stressful work environment. Applied casts and splints. Loved taking care of pediatric patients! I love to teach patients about their current health situation/emergency/crisis and how to manage, if possible.
