Don’t Do Your Job That’s Ok Here!

Nurses won’t call you back to schedule your surgery so it’s takes you waiting over 3 weeks in pain to get that done. They have now caused you to have to wait for over 3 unnecessary weeks to get on the schedule for surgery. You try to reach out to the patient advocate for help, they do the bare minimum so the bahiviors stay the same. You try over 6 times to reach the director by leaving voicemails and talking to a live person only to be told by a rude employee that you can’t speak with the director. Guess they aren’t interested in learning how an employee is mistreating a veteran. They are interested in learning your feedback on how they can improve their hospital and the treatment of future veterans. They don’t care that some veterans don’t have any other choice for the their medical care so they just have to deal with the lack of response from their employees. Want a job where you aren’t accountable for your actions, this is the place for you. Want a job where you don’t have to treat a patient with dignity and respect, this is the place for you. Want a place where you can just mail it in and still collect a paycheck, this is the place for you. So sick of the VA and it’s mistreatment of veterans, I wish I had another choice but sadly I don’t. Maybe one day the VA will institute a plan to hold VA employees accountable and actually make them do their jobs. I won’t hold my breathe :(
