It is a great place that provides health care services, and fun activities for residents.

Every morning when I came in, I helped CNAs feed residents. Then, I went to visit residents who stayed in their room for breakfast. The first activity was at 10AM and it varies, such as Wii, Cognitive Group, iPad Hour. After the first activity, I went to my office and did documentation, such as MDS, quarterly notes, assessments, and care plans. In the afternoon, I helped transport residents to hospital-wide programs. When they came back, we did afternoon activities, such as Aromatherapy, art and craft, socials. All the staff at Laguna Honda Hospital were very friendly and compassionate. As a team, we provided better care and better service for all residents. The most enjoyable part of the job was making every resident smile/laugh when doing activities with them. I had a strong relationship with them, so it was hard to see any residents passed away.

Versatile workplace and wonderful people.

Here is where I learned most of my nursing skills and where I met most of the patients that I have taken care of in the last year. They also provide an awesome cafeteria with lots of food.
