Fun place to work

I enjoy the unit that I work on. They are a great bunch of people to have on your side when stuff hits the fan. Even on a busy day we still enjoy a good laugh.

Going through the motions

Working understaffed daily. Nursing admin is as cut throat as I have ever seen in my 25 plus yrs in medical field. Admin caters to Physicians who suck the blood and money from the hosp for personal financial gain and no regard for whats best for the hosp and community. Employees are on edge about constant layoffs and cost cutting measures. Benefits are always being cut and retirement benefits are a joke. Best part of the job was working with patients and fellow employees.

a work place were we had some fun

i would take vitials and i would do one to ones with the patiens . i also give the older patiens a bath or a shower i will so help when they had to be giveing meds with the nurse. i learned alot i learned how to draw blood . the most enjoyable part of my job was when i got to sit in and hear what they been thrwo and why they were here it hepled me to understand them and why they were the way they were . the hardest part of my job was doing one to ones and putting them in restrains .

Poor overall management by CEO,VP/Director of Nursing. No job security for employees who have more than 15 years in, No Pension or 401k match, Hospital has alot of financial problems, Many days short staffed and under-qualified manager in LD/maternity with favortism shown to day staff.

PRODUCTIVE PLACE

THE TECH WERE VERY HELPFUL AND TAUGHT US VERY KINDLY AND ALSO HAD GOOD HANDS ON PATIENTS
