NOT what I expected!

Clinical assistant is just a fancy term for CNA. The hospital is very understaffed. The nurses are overwhelmed and are not only unwilling but most of the time unable to help you with tasks. They only have 1-2 aides on at a time when there are 20+ patients on the floor. You are grossly underpaid and underappreciated for what you do. The health benefits are great but there is little room for growth! Even if you have been with the company for 7 years and are qualified for other positions they will not remove you from the floor because they are so desperate to fill these positions. If you want to be a CNA then it is a perfect job, but don't be fooled by the clerical description.
