very good group of people to work with

I start a typical shift with trying to get as much information as i can about the patient condition treatments outstanding tests anything personal the patient likes for example a nickname they like to be called or how much family involvement there is. Then i greet my patients and introduce myself. i ask if they need anything and that i will be back to do an assessment of them.My co workers are very important to me mainly they are my supprot system. I look foward to seeing my co-workers and love to be able to bounce ideas off of them. The most enjoyable part of my day is the connection that i make with my patients. I like to sit and listen and if they have questions i answer them honestly and if i cant answer them i find the answer if at all possiable. The hardest part of the day is definetly trying to tie up loose ends at the end of the shift. I hope that i have been able to fulfill all the needs of my patients and try to take as much time as I can at the bedside which at times is challanging at the least.

MMH is a great teaching hospital that is continously growing and advancing in technology.

I started worked at MMH at a unit representatvie, MST, and finally a RN. It is a great teaching hospital. I learn something new everyday. I work on an orthopedic unit, therefore I had to adapt to working in a fast pace environment. This hospital is continuously growing and advancing in technology. They offer staff education and in service programs. We also have shared governance meetings which allows all staff to voice their opinion and offer resolutions to problems we may have on the unit.
