Unit Notes:**ON HOLD** Unit PHH ICU # beds 24 Beds. Computers & scanners for medications in every room Ratios 1:2 (sometimes 1:3 depending on the level of acuity) Certs BLS, ACLS NIHSS, CCRN preferred but not required. Systems EPIC & Pyxis Nurse Aides Yes - 2 max depending on census Charge Nurse 24/7 Charge will take patients if the unit needs warrant this Schedules The scheduler will work with traveler for their work schedule. NOTE: Travelers need to be flexible as they are there to fill the needs of the unit. Time off requests must be flexible & reasonable Not frequent in nature. We cannot accommodate travelers with multiple jobs who expect us to work around their other schedules. Shifts 6:45 start time. Staff is late at 6:51. Shifts end at 7:15 Floating Must be willing to float. May have to float to IMCU, Telemetry/MS, ED, if ICU census is low and another area is short. (will receive a max of 4 pts if floated) Weekends Every other weekend Holiday Policy Travelers will be worked into the holiday rotation Scrub Color Navy Blue & white. Can wear all navy, all white or navy & white Tele GE Vents, etc GE, Evita & sometimes Servo I IV Team No IV team. Nurses are expected to have strong IV skills. They have a Vascular Access Team for PICCs & midlines. RT 24/7 Yes , they intubate and manage all ventilators. Pharmacy 24/7 Yes - Also have pharmacy on ICU on days from 8am - 4pm. Tube system & delivery after 4pm. Specific Unit Info We welcome nurses with great communication skills, excellent customer service skills and a heart for their patients, safety and improved outcomes. Interdisciplinary Team Rounds daily from 0930 1030. (Our IDR consists of Intensivist, RN, NP/PA, RRT, Nutritionist, Pharmacist, Case Manager, Physical Therapist and Charge Nurse. There is a report format for our IDR that every nurse is expected to follow. We now offer CRRT.
