Contracts likely to run through most of 2024 if applicant is doing well and wanting to stay The Registered Nurse delivers quality nursing care through the utilization of the nursing process. Works collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to maintain standards for professional nursing practice. Carries out functions according to hospital policy, the hospital mission, and standards of practice defined by professional and regulatory guidelines. Directs, coordinates and delegates activities in order to foster patient / family centered care. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Assesses the physical, psychosocial, and educational needs of the patient. Plans and implements nursing care according to patient and family needs. Makes appropriate interventions based upon individual patient needs. Evaluates patient responses to nursing interventions. Assumes personal responsibility for quality patient care, patient satisfaction, environment and professional development. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS Please be sure to review top section of this posting! 2+ Year of Experience - Required Ready to start ASAP - Required Completion of 1 travel assignment - Required Paragon EMR Experience - Highly Preferred ACLS - Preferred Health system-wide profile standards References NOT required. A skills checklist completed within one year of application for RN specialties is required. All other professions outside of Nursing are not required but preferred. Michigan license verification is required for nurses. Please provide LARA and Nursys; if there is a license hit, it would be in the traveler's best interest to provide a write-up of what happened for the manager's review. Physical copies of certifications are only required in the profile if listed above. Full-time employees of the facility are not eligible for contract hire within six months of employment. IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW Facility has incorporated a strict 3 strike attendance policy to advocate for their patient population. Any RN contractor who is absent from a scheduled shift or is more than 20 minutes late for their scheduled shift 3 times will be terminated effective immediately. Situations such as a communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence will be reviewed in favor of the contractor. This policy will begin on 2/28/2024. We also have patients with mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, etc. Our patients will undergo procedures such as colonoscopies, thora and paracentesis, bronchoscopy, and minor surgeries (lap chole, incision and drainage, biopsies, amputation). General job duties. Types of procedures required. General Medical Surgical nursing care. Skills and tasks required would be assessments, care planning, inter-professional communication, utilization of the EHR, IV pumps, wound vacs, heat/cooling pads, feeding pumps, feeding tubes, chest tubes, management of heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy management. BLS, IN State or compact RN license Shift or schedule requirements. 12-hour shifts, 3 weekend shifts in 4 weeks Medsurg RN's will float to areas in greatest need. Patient ratios are 1:5. BLS and IN license (or compact license as of 7/1/20). Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs EPIC charting Facility will accept local travelers within any radius, no change to rate. Will primarily be working ASU overflow unit but will float to other medsurg units as needed Specific training and orientation program.
