Patients are admitted to CV Tele North for assessment, monitoring and care of post cardiac interventions and procedures such as PCI, AICD implants and post surgical complex esophageal thoracic surgeries. Additional associated diagnoses may include but are not limited to cardiac dysthymias, unstable angina, and myocardial infarction. General med/surg patients may also be placed on CV Tele North when bed space allows. Major treatment modalities include cardiac telemetry, single vasoactive infusions requiring minimal titration, antiarrhythmic drug administration, IV antiplatelet agents, temporary trans venous pacing when the patient has an underlying rhythm, tight blood glucose control managed with insulin infusions, chest tube management and pulse ox monitoring. The staffing ratio is 1:3 to 1:4 with some nursing assistant support. Must have NIHSS Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks:91
