Travel Nurse RN - $2,159 per week in Bangor, ME - Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse in our Endoscopy unit, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients undergoing endoscopic procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes. Your expertise and compassionate approach will help create a comfortable and supportive environment for patients and their families. Key Responsibilities: Pre-Procedure Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical histories, allergies, and current medications to ensure safe and appropriate care. Patient Education: Provide clear and concise pre-procedure instructions to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions they may have. Procedure Support: Assist physicians and other team members during endoscopic procedures, ensuring the availability of necessary equipment and medications. Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs, anesthesia levels, and overall condition during procedures, promptly addressing any changes or complications. Post-Procedure Care: Care for patients in the immediate post-procedure phase, including monitoring vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth recovery process. Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records, documenting all aspects of patient care, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes. Infection Control: Adhere to strict infection control protocols and maintain a clean and sterile environment in the endoscopy unit. Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and provide life-saving interventions as needed. Patient Advocacy: Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights, preferences, and concerns are respected and addressed. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Endoscopy RN 13 week assignment 36 hrs 9 hr days, 7:15a-4:45p AHA BLS & AHA ACLS required ME or multi-state license 3 yrs of Endo experience required EMR: EPIC 05/13 start
