Travel LPN / LVN - LTAC - $1,191 per week in Oklahoma City, OK - Summary : * Long-Term Acute Care RN/LPN provides care to patients with chronic conditions and prolonged or incurable illnesses. * Patients may require ventilator usage and weaning, respiratory care, IV Medication or transfusions, complex wound treatment, and or ongoing dialysis. * Reports to Supervisor of Unit. Duties and Responsibilities: * Receives and provides adequate reports on all patients. * Assesses plans, and implements client care. * Receives and transcribes doctor’s orders. * Assists with physical examinations, and makes round of assigned clients following guidelines of institution. * Wound care, including Stasic Ulcers Administering oxygen, changing dressings. Inserts and irrigates urinary catheters. * Administers and document Medications given PO, IM and Intravenously. * Discontinues or hangs additional intravenous bottles and piggybacks. * Administers and draws blood. * Cares for Endotracheal, tracheostomy and suctioning. * Obtains laboratory specimens. * Administers CPR and other emergency procedures as necessary. * Care for patients who need close monitoring and frequent assessment, but aren`t unstable enough to need ICU care. * Perform EKG and interpret Proficient in care of patients on a ventilator. * Administer medication through an intravenous line that may need to be adjusted or titrated. Education and Experience Requirements: * RN /LPN license in good standing. * Must have one year of experience in LTAC or ICU/Acute Care. * Graduate of accredited Nursing School. * Must have current AHA BLS and AHA ACLS.
