Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $31 to $47 per hour in Show Low, AZ - 3x12s - 1-2 years of experience Tele, including experience in MedSurg acute care setting - 18 beds - Telemetry with 6 PCU capable beds. all private rooms - Will house COVID patients if needed - mixed unit with temporary walls and air handling system - 1 year of experience required - 2 years preferred - Charge nurse 24/7 will take 0-2 patients when needed - Nurse managers don't provide patient care, but they do rounds - Support staff on unit: Tele techs, charge nurse, HUCs and PCTs - CNAs split the floor each taking up to 9 patients - RNs nurse to patient ratios for are 1:4 and PCU/Stepdown is 1:3 - Tele: Phillips monitors, have monitor tech room. Nurses expected to validate monitor techs interpretation and document 4 hours or more frequent as needed. We do Cardizem, amiodarone, bumex, Lasix, integrillin, octreotide, protonix - Vents; none-- high flow o2 on COVID step down pts, pts home cpap - Hospitalist in house 24/7 - No IV team - Resp Therapist 24/7 - Pharmacy 24/7 - Weekend requirement: Every other weekend (days Sat & Sun and nights Fri & Sat) - Common dx; AMI, Stroke/TIA's, Pnuemonia, Renal (dialysis) afib rvr, SIRS, DM - Floating: May float to all MS units

Collaborating with medical providers and the care team, you will provide personalized, comprehensive, and compassionate care, following established nursing models such as "Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage." You will also act as an advocate for patients, families, and caregivers, embodying the organization's vision, mission, and values to ensure an outstanding patient experience and positive clinical outcomes. * Assess the patient's condition during admission and each scheduled shift, promptly identifying and reporting any changes in patient status. * Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and ensure thorough and timely documentation of care administration in the patient's medical record. - Administer prescribed medications, monitor the patient for therapeutic response, and take appropriate action in the event of an unintended response to the medication. * Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, proactively anticipating patient needs, and resolving them. * Educate patients, families, and caregivers about the patient's medical condition, treatment plan, medications, possible side effects, and follow-up measures, ensuring complete understanding by translating complex medical terminology.
