Observes patient behaviour, focusing on biophysical, developmental, cognitive, emotional, spiritual and sociocultural needs. Performs the secretarial/clerical aspects of patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The CNA must be able to prioritize and process physician orders accurately and within designated time frames; seeking assistance as needed. The CNA is responsible for the answering of patient calls, and receives, greets, and directs patients/visitors; records and delivers messages for patients/staff.
