Typically, only registered nurses are travel nurses. Most hospitals look for 2-5 years of experience in their travelers. The competition can be fierce, so travel nurses usually are solely RNs. However, occasionally LPNs can find travel assignments in very large cities.

Yes we can travel. There are numerous positions in travel for LTAC and SNF and clinics, but locking down an acute hospital facility does take a little more persistance but absolutely can be done. I just did it at a children's hospital. Good luck !
