Yes. Depending on the medical facility that you are working for they can ask you if you would like to extend your visit in their location. Most travel nurses will extend their stay from 13 to 26 weeks in their current location because they find 13 weeks to be too short. Assignments do vary in length, some shorter than 13 weeks and some longer than 26 weeks; it all depends on you and the medical facility that you are working in.
