Yes, you do need a license for each state that you choose to work in unless you have a multi-state compact license. Travel nursing agencies, however will assist you in obtaining the required licenses before the start date of your assignment. Sometimes the time for processing can take up to 8 weeks so be sure to not wait till the last minute so that you will be able to be stress free before going on assignment in a different state.
